After life in the big city doesn't go as planned, you return to your small hometown. The first space you restore is the attic of your parents' home — dusty, forgotten, but full of warm memories. Yellowed wallpaper peels from the walls, autumn leaves drift through the cracked window, and the old floorboards are grey with grime. This is where your journey begins.

The Parents' Home attic is Hozy's tutorial level. It introduces all four core tools — squeegee, mop, paint roller, and the trash-collection hands mechanic. There are no wrong choices here. The task checklist in the top-right corner tracks your progress, but you can complete tasks in any order. Most players spend 15–25 minutes here on their first run. After you finish and take a photo (press Spacebar to open photo mode), the game transitions to the world map, revealing the next location.

  • ★ Furniture can be rotated freely; hold an item and use the mouse wheel to spin it before placing.
  • ★ Use the 'park' zone near the stairs to temporarily store items you're unsure about — nothing is permanent until you finish the level.

Yes. Hozy has a gentle narrative tying all nine locations together. You play as a character who returns to their hometown after city life doesn't work out. Each space you restore belongs to a family member or community member, and small story moments play out between levels through dialogue and environmental storytelling.
Can I rearrange furniture after placing it? ▾
Yes. All furniture and décor items can be freely picked up, moved, rotated, and repositioned at any time during the level. There is no penalty for changing your mind. Use the mouse wheel while holding an item to rotate it.
Is there a photo mode in Hozy? ▾
Yes. Press Spacebar to open photo mode. It includes camera angle controls, zoom, and a selection of filters. Screenshots are saved to a folder on your PC. Photo mode is available after all renovation tasks are completed in a level.
How long does it take to complete Hozy? ▾
Based on community playthroughs, completing all nine levels takes approximately 6–10 hours. Shorter levels like the attic take 15–25 minutes, while larger spaces like the café or seaside retreat take 40–55 minutes. The game is designed for relaxed, unrestricted play so individual times vary widely.
